Job Description
Coordinating a project team’s overall performance, scope, cost, and deliverables. As
Program/ Project Manager, you will drive the charge with project direction, metric
definition, and performance management.
The Program/ Project Manager is responsible for the overall management of the SAP
delivery project throughout its lifecycle. They are responsible for defining, planning,
tracking and managing the project, for identifying key resources and providing the
direction they require in order to meet project objectives. The Project Manager provides
leadership to cross-functional teams responsible for delivering defined project outputs to
time, budget and project quality criteria. They also ensure adherence to project
management methodology practices, provide team coaching, evaluate the performance
of team members and reinforce the enterprise knowledge management through the
collection and communication of lessons learned.
The successful candidate will have a solid background managing the successful delivery
of SAP solutions with extensive experience across at least 5 full implementations of
which 2 are SAP S4HANA implementations. The candidate will demonstrate end-to-end
project experience that encompasses process design, planning, and management;
execution of the build through to go-live is a must. Experience implementing systems
based on a templated solution will be highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
? Participates in the project planning activities and manage the execution of
projects according to plan. Establishes and manages the project, ensuring all
deliverables are delivered on time to agreed scope, budget, to meet quality
expectations and add value/ deliver benefits to the client.
? Manage relationship with project stakeholders, including internal and external
clients, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and issues in order to manage
expectations on all project requirements and deliverables.
? Proactively identify changes in work scope and ensure appropriate planning
measures are taken with internal and external stakeholders to reassess and
amend the scope of work requirements, budget and timeline.
? Manage the financial aspects of the project: budgeting and estimate to actual
variance.
? Analyse risk, establish contingency plans and identify trigger events and
responsibilities for initiating mitigating action.
? Directs, facilitates and ensures project teams create plans that enable delivery
the project.
? Oversees the project budget ensuring accurate and punctual reporting and
forecasting
? Actively reviews, tracks and challenge risks, issues, decisions and assumptions
and identifies how opportunities can be realised.
? Assesses project to ensure project delivery to agreed baselines remains viable
and will meet defined business benefits.
? Ensures effective resource management is undertaken so that the project is
resourced with the required expertise.
? Manages conflicts and dependencies between project streams and wider
initiatives as required.? Reviews the progress of the project and effectively manages the change of
requirements, dependencies, milestones, risks, issues, and priorities.
? Acts as a point of escalation for the project and ensures collaboration of any
required parties lead to successful outcomes and/or issues/risks mitigation.
? Responsible for driving outstanding performance and gaining commitment
through developing, coaching, motivating, energising and inspiring team
members.
? Ensures that momentum is maintained throughout the project so the team remain
motivatedand focused on delivery.
? Determine what constitutes successful closure for all parties. Gain acceptance
and sign-off by all parties when closure is attained.
? Proactively manage project stakeholder satisfaction.
? Ensure proper use of project management methodology, standards, tools,
processes and procedures.Required Technical and Professional Expertise
? 15+ years of professional experience; Successful (and recent) track record of
delivery of multiple SAP implementation projects performing in the role of Project
or Program Manager.
? Project management experience in SAP ERP (ECC, S/4 HANA)
? Deep experience across multiple industries, including Automotive, FMCG and
Retail is required to be successful
? Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
? Proven ability to deliver high profile activities to tight timescales.
? Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment, across multiple
countries in a hybrid model.
? Strong stakeholder management skills
? Must be able to be able to plan and manage own workload (self-directing) with
minimal oversight, escalating where necessary to address potential risks or
resolve issues.
? Strong problem-solving skills.Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
? Experience implementing SAP S/4HANA solutions is very highly valued.
? Industry certifications (PMI / Prince2 etc) highly valued.
? MBA is highly valued.
? Previous experience delivering SAP solutions as a Program/ Project Manager
while working for a professional services consulting organisation will be highly
valued.Ambition, excellent leadership skills and a talent for building successful client
relationships will be highly valued.
